On May 5, 1978, Roaring 20’s Ice Cream Parlour opened their doors under management of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cookingham. A small ice cream store serving hand-dipped ice cream shakes, malts, and banana splits.
In passing years, the Cookinghams sold the Parlour to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stoll. They ran the store and added the traveling trailer that features 10 different flavors of hand-dipped ice cream that was a catering trailer. A few years later, the Stolls sold the Parlour to Mr. Mike Kane. In 1996, Joanie Fagan purchased the Parlour. Joanie continues to run the Parlour to this very day. The menu has added a few things since the start.
Today, Roaring 20’s is proud to serve 40 different flavors of Ashby’s hand-dipped ice cream and 11 soft serve flavors. Homemade waffle cones are made on the premises daily. Cone selections are regular, sugar, and fudge nut waffle cones. Fudge nut cones are dipped into chocolate and have either sprinkles, butterfingers, Oreo, peanut butter cup, or nuts around the top, and of course, a surprise in the bottom of the cone – CHOCOLATE! Sundaes, shakes, malts, flurries, sodas, coolers, floats, banana splits, and Fluff’s Favorite (a small dish of vanilla ice cream with a milk bone for your furry friend) are just a few of the favorites.
Here at Roaring 20’s, our slogan is “Our singles aren’t so lonely!” That’s because when you order a single, you get 2 scoops of ice cream and not 1.
